Code of Conduct & Media Consent
Thank you for registering for a Jesus Youth event! These guidelines are formed keeping in mind the safety of every participant and the smooth running of the gathering.
1. Any safeguarding concerns regarding a participant’s wellbeing throughout the duration of the program is to be shared with the Responsible Person In Charge for this event.

1. I understand that I am expected to abide by the rules and the guidelines of the program which is communicated in this document.
2. I understand that I am not permitted to go outside the venue without the permission of the program coordinators. Permission will be given only in emergency situations and I will be accompanied by an adult assigned by the program coordinators.
3. I will maintain punctuality throughout the program. This includes waking up on time, being present for breakfast and sleeping at the said time.
4. I will remain in my allocated room at night. Under no circumstances will I enter into any other room, especially that of the opposite gender.
5. I will respect the personal space and boundaries of their fellow participants. Any form of unwanted physical contact, verbal harassment, or invasion of privacy is strictly prohibited.
6. I will ensure minimal usage of my phone during the program so that I can fully present. I understand that during sessions, workshops and prayer times, use of phones is prohibited.
7. I will report any concerns I have that affect my wellbeing or the wellbeing of any other young person during the program, to a trusted adult.
8. I understand that the consumption of alcohol, smoking, vaping, and the use of recreational drugs are not permitted during the retreat or on the venue grounds.
9. I will respect the venue, its facilities and grounds, and follow any instructions given by the program coordinators, volunteers or venue staff.
10. I will make every effort to participate fully in the program and be present for the scheduled sessions, prayer times, Mass and activities.
11. I will treat all participants, volunteers, clergy, religious and venue staff with respect. I understand that bullying, harassment, threatening behaviour or any other inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated.
12. I will respect the designated quiet and sleeping times and be considerate of other participants and guests staying at the venue.
13. I will inform a member of the team if I become unwell, require medical assistance, or become aware of any health or safety concern.
14. I understand that serious or repeated breaches of these guidelines may result in me being asked to leave the retreat, and that in such circumstances a refund may not be provided.
We would like to ask for your consent to take photographs/videos during the program. These footages may contain images of you/your child. It is likely that these images may be used as:
- a record of the activity or the event
- publicity material on leaflets/websites/magazines
- illustrations of the activities or events in published articles
Jesus Youth UK will take all steps to ensure that these images are used solely for the purposes they are intended. If you become aware that these images are being used inappropriately you should inform us immediately.
